Program Overview

Graphic design is a crucial tool that makes sure that you communicate with your people in an efficient manner. It serves to deliver your message to the target audience in an aesthetic way. Studying Graphic Design is a great choice for creative people who like playing with colours, forms and images and who want to create great visual content to communicate messages. The MS Graphic Design program explores the ever-changing landscape of graphic design to build critical understanding, individual design thinking processes, practical experience and insightful design solutions. The course offers areas of specialism in typography, branding, motion graphics and book design, and digital interactive experiences. the University of Management and Technology (UMT) has launched the Master of Graphic Design (MSGD). It is a two-year program catering for the requirements of the Pakistani graphics market. Classes are normally scheduled in the evening for the benefit of the employed participants.

Program Objectives

The core objective of the program is to produce graduates with a strong technical knowledge of Graphic Design,

  • OBJ 1: To gain strong working knowledge of problems solving skills regarding Graphic.
  • OBJ 2: To develop the ability to think, edit, create, and innovate advertising campaigns on Brand Identity.
  • OBJ3: To build solid foundation of communication and pressure handling skills among
  • the students so that they acquire an understanding of intellectual achievements in
  • producing their designs.
  • OBJ 4: To motivate our graduates towards understanding the economic, environmental
  • and ethical issues so that they can apply their expertise to solve real-world
  • problems.
  • OBJ5: To prepare our graduates for high quality research and innovations.

Career Paths

The graduates of MSGD program will be able to join graphic industry. The aim of the program is to prepare skillful and intelligent Graphic Designers who will become Art Director, animator, Artworker, graphic designer, Illustrator, Team Leads, and Project Managers in corporate sectors and intellectual Lecturers and Professors in government and academic sectors.

Admission Criteria

  • 16 years education in Graphic Design or an allied line, with minimum CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00 or equivalent in semester system or 50% in annual system
  • No third Division in entire academic career
  • NTS-GAT (General) with 50% marks or equivalent and should be valid at the time of admission
  • UMT Written Test
